Footprints in the Sand' }+ P3 d+ b3 E) k! I/ z; U: u

( i" }% r& G4 WOne night I had a dream
! G# x% B- @$ {9 vI was walking along the beach with my Lord.3 e4 M8 W, ^9 r# @4 O2 @; E9 z9 z
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life., A. Q( T4 O" a' y5 l
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
- k" E  V- m3 H, r2 Aone belonging to me  S& w' r, K8 W! G8 H6 y' q1 j
and the other to my Lord.
) @# }" T4 n. q" `When the last scene of my life shot before me" z4 X) S! p* R% y1 F8 e2 q& |- K
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.9 [  }/ d* ^" y8 l
There was only on set of footprints.9 ]- y$ n9 o" f, [
I realized that this was at the lowest ! ^6 p' Z- R: R0 o4 |/ y/ b' \4 |; S
and saddest times in my life." W1 L7 P9 j9 |" x1 m: a* ?
This always bothered me 1 q/ N! R5 Y! z) r+ v8 B5 v: E, t
and I questioned the Lord0 y' m) x) [0 L9 j+ i+ W% u* Y* ?
about my dilemma.
% S6 `  P4 i4 v"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
' I  F. d# H' o1 n* K" A3 D; m: oYou would walk and talk with me all the way.3 O3 R5 r/ `2 ~* y  @' o
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
5 I, s. |( }) a7 i& w( I& t: ~times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
1 g( ]2 K: D- C% R- M% tI don't understand why, when I needed You most,
/ H( z4 D" |% uyou leave me.") Z: j$ c8 j6 q, t
