Footprints in the Sand

! X1 W" p/ P7 R) q6 [One night I had a dream
6 l4 B* ?2 D: J6 c* o1 DI was walking along the beach with my Lord.5 T+ s; N" `" Q9 Q. y
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.  q) W: ?) ~! }/ K
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
" f5 M, t# C5 o* F! `7 S; z; eone belonging to me
3 [/ C! u: \% Pand the other to my Lord.- T& c; l6 x$ f2 O; I7 D
When the last scene of my life shot before me
" v: d1 ?. X; ZI looked back at the footprints in the sand.
8 I4 b$ t$ p- v! c2 JThere was only on set of footprints., p" I! i: R) F
I realized that this was at the lowest
. N0 S) @* t$ e0 W9 B  @! Y$ Iand saddest times in my life.
# A# [# t( a: J# z# S) Z& v6 uThis always bothered me ( ~$ G4 B5 `1 s* Z! u1 A
and I questioned the Lord+ V8 P/ h% t! @1 Y
about my dilemma.
0 u% `7 ?% ?0 P0 j; ]1 \"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
$ W$ G, U7 j4 p$ O+ i$ i; cYou would walk and talk with me all the way.1 n. k' i0 X4 [" g4 G& O# f
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome ! b  I6 a# ^! m+ e
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.2 }9 K' }* B0 J/ a8 @+ E# }: b
I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
* O' L6 f# [4 w2 Dyou leave me."; Q( ]( C5 S  c* b% {
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
% S8 U) R& ]! K9 mI love you and will never leave you
: R+ W% A3 U3 Z2 z4 A5 x9 x2 D5 u2 Pnever, ever during your times of trial and testings.
