I was walking along the beach with my Lord.! G1 q$ h, l$ P& U. J% N9 K
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.' ?  {- {9 M  \, g
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
& D. u: f  P/ S) Z. @4 D" u6 y$ p% \+ Bone belonging to me
- {7 g4 h# a2 ^$ X( V, mand the other to my Lord.
/ W& e; k! v8 b! ]When the last scene of my life shot before me
8 u: C5 ?! L1 u; t  |* S# WI looked back at the footprints in the sand.5 T; x; l- Y) `
There was only on set of footprints.
" J$ H( L: y3 m! l8 s% A4 LI realized that this was at the lowest
- c" J6 E9 }9 ~7 Qand saddest times in my life.
; T5 \9 }: U7 k  W% t4 \This always bothered me 3 [; ?# Q9 ~2 P5 n2 X( k
and I questioned the Lord
3 K' y$ g) M* f. r/ x1 x; dabout my dilemma.
: a% T, e( |# g, O5 J* f" ["Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,8 u- p! s( y; Y) R) w
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
' d) Z' I6 R  ^But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
2 ]# {; l4 v% h! x5 vtimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.( P, A. o5 z# Z5 Y8 U6 ^. Z. j
I don't understand why, when I needed You most, 8 j1 u* i3 y5 Z: R- S
you leave me.": ^' |$ M# [4 ^  N
