Footprints in the Sand

One night I had a dream1 H4 O# m$ V9 ]) K; n# K
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.9 R; \. d( B3 R5 i* h9 V) o
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.9 N; d( V2 z  E5 b  M' U4 F+ p
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,2 [  L- w# z! W" {
one belonging to me& d" h5 Y: v8 J0 f5 e4 }' c$ z( k
and the other to my Lord.
$ Z4 P4 _  I/ q" X$ wWhen the last scene of my life shot before me
, c* B6 b0 c+ Z' _3 S# Q0 GI looked back at the footprints in the sand.
/ S5 l8 s% d; C4 H$ J% B, m& cThere was only on set of footprints.6 s/ d9 r! x2 P3 ?+ j$ P6 t" F3 r
I realized that this was at the lowest
. a% }" e3 l) T" i- T! p! v# {) d3 s/ hand saddest times in my life.+ h6 ~$ |. h! q, G' [) d" u
This always bothered me
  p, u  T2 Q: n. ]5 y) d  R2 _and I questioned the Lord
# R/ y: q4 J9 Z7 v' ^8 Q+ Babout my dilemma.& [" d; v# L! ^) e
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,5 G1 e5 g$ ]( p8 V/ W# a/ U9 Y" p) F
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
, Z( G. p% V2 @% Q5 wBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome - B7 c0 `& n: I) U/ ^3 a
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.9 l7 R  {$ l1 ]) P* \+ B4 n
I don't understand why, when I needed You most, ) J. c* \8 q! D2 i( [! a( A, M
you leave me."3 v9 V) r, D! x3 O1 c) W: I6 g8 K
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
