Lord,
& ?4 Z; p G+ whaving transformed9 c% A4 E+ C" ?' _+ C! B
sunshine and soil and water and seed,
6 o8 a; n/ A6 f1 x/ ~4 K: Tinto food upon which we are soon to feed,
+ G6 U2 \( M. Z/ W, u( z$ hwe thank you for life and we want to stay well,
5 D/ e% x9 Y% T3 g$ f. sso we promise to rub our hands with Purell.
8 m$ b9 z4 L; c1 @/ e2 bWe who came first and are ready to dine
9 x- b; d& A) l( T- L$ Tthank you that we’re not still waiting in line, ( ?( [, o0 ?. Q4 G3 Y$ ^ X
but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait,
[9 W" f. A8 O# L- H) E7 [we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.+ b* |' l" C7 Q6 O, @5 l& g
Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others 5 E! f1 D. ?; Q1 h2 h2 j, K4 M
the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.- W% P! i: E' U* I( ?9 H& u# [

We smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted S3 Y, W: `! m( c- _% S8 G
the aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted w9 ?9 O1 k. L9 d
We thank you for people so generous and kind3 N2 B* L7 }* {- P
and thanks for all blessings in body and mind,& Q1 ^- A' T7 R% d U
