One night I had a dream( m2 Q! i6 e5 Z  Z6 q9 x
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
$ G  T; Q& L" k' NAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.
3 k! `4 I# i6 k' n3 d3 J- A3 C  ~1 \For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
) N1 \- U8 O# Wone belonging to me4 j5 E4 i- w* O/ N
and the other to my Lord.
6 q7 G3 ^$ U4 kWhen the last scene of my life shot before me- k! M0 J) g+ r1 R% u/ u
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
" a9 |, L: G/ G4 M- tThere was only on set of footprints.& ^9 Q# J' M" E9 ^% C
I realized that this was at the lowest 7 R9 R4 B1 F$ [2 K  \" l: q
and saddest times in my life.+ ^- ?' [* @8 B
This always bothered me 5 z* c" z) M5 ~. J6 W: p  ^) j
and I questioned the Lord+ {- n; ?# J. f% a' V2 O
about my dilemma.
( q, [5 }' \( g; h$ e% O"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
: H* Y" j- I/ F+ u* E# R$ xYou would walk and talk with me all the way.
" K$ n) |3 p6 h7 {9 f* H+ QBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome 1 p3 a  z) @. ]1 k9 Q: J
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
: i$ Z- j) g; `; x2 i5 x7 CI don't understand why, when I needed You most, ! f- O* c- _' I. k
you leave me."6 D9 E8 c9 C: w" b6 X
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,- g) f8 }" n: t, V% ]
I love you and will never leave you
