I was walking along the beach with my Lord." [# |- K1 t4 r$ T; H
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
  M4 M% }/ u  y0 ]7 Q: X% T  G% vFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
: s+ d  f  K1 Q5 bone belonging to me% i6 j. @' B: R7 _1 j( l% f" Z, @
and the other to my Lord.4 x6 Z/ \( e$ e
When the last scene of my life shot before me9 o* a  j9 q6 U
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.# \+ ]9 Q1 s2 r+ i  W
There was only on set of footprints.- }1 u  |2 \' M# f
I realized that this was at the lowest
, [! d; u8 t' n1 Uand saddest times in my life.
$ I/ P* E5 s. l7 a8 q: zThis always bothered me
* t) I; n8 L  v; L- ?and I questioned the Lord
& Y  t; ]+ k! i2 Sabout my dilemma.
7 {( v( {* {1 ~" S/ M"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,9 F/ C5 C; n- d& P! ~
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
1 d# O% Z$ c. D) B  wBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome ) f2 s" Y4 m% |- u* k. A6 _
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
* i; v) j9 h, `$ D6 I- `I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
* F* W, J& G+ h: W$ \you leave me."
8 U' K. ~5 I4 @# xHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,' k$ n/ i4 h8 h! y
I love you and will never leave you
