One night I had a dream
7 G  t7 k2 z7 N, _I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
1 V9 F* H% c' V3 Y$ zAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.6 N( \( M9 P' q: a
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
+ i/ s" t- K) W2 H5 [9 W/ Fone belonging to me6 B% A) C/ V! F# N( C
and the other to my Lord.. |; Y4 u/ f$ ]* C% D6 b& o$ B' \
When the last scene of my life shot before me
/ S- `. r* @! W' U% `* m( K7 s& gI looked back at the footprints in the sand.
& A% J4 Z. n, T( nThere was only on set of footprints.
4 ?) s- A4 f( f: iI realized that this was at the lowest % u* F4 D. c3 q" k' Q+ ~
and saddest times in my life.0 I8 Q) R: r( _2 T# X2 |, @+ q
This always bothered me 3 r4 D9 E) ?, E* ~
and I questioned the Lord
( Q: Q; @5 \4 c& dabout my dilemma.
" N5 L0 f4 L, h"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,, S2 E  Y" m! o) f7 l
You would walk and talk with me all the way.2 A! d6 z: E! N+ i: j5 Y
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome   v; \- s; c. j% N* E8 M
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
" i/ M+ S! B" e& Z$ cI don't understand why, when I needed You most, $ m6 ^" j) g! _" [
you leave me."4 H) l  U$ T8 t
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,) `6 p: `7 G6 s0 D  @2 z3 }
I love you and will never leave you
7 B+ o& i( o8 m+ _. I6 X; O6 Dnever, ever during your times of trial and testings.( U; N/ Q+ l3 d" y
When you saw only one set of footprints) B  }# s: F0 k7 Y6 q1 ]$ @
It was then that I carried you."
