Contracts entered by minors ( also called infant in some jurisdiction) often voidable. However, there are some exceptions.
1. "Infants are bound by contracts for the acquisition of necessaries and for contracts of service that benefit the infant. Necessaries are things required to function in society, such as food, clothing, transportation, or lodging. "
2." A contract in which an infant agrees to do something for someone else is binding, if it can be demonstrated that, taken as a whole, the contract is for the benefit of the infant. These are usually contracts related to employment or apprenticeship. "
