I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
" W7 N" }: X2 f* xAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.# f/ p. O# u( y$ w
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,. x; G" d' P& Z! P
one belonging to me5 n3 |$ g# j7 q7 R: j0 Y
and the other to my Lord.0 p- a3 {- z  l( M
When the last scene of my life shot before me8 o" s+ B: `2 T; q
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
, X7 H5 }/ [. E- c- q' IThere was only on set of footprints.3 t0 d; D1 Y1 w- }. R, v
I realized that this was at the lowest 9 k. i6 Q, E/ R* N7 \
and saddest times in my life.' q) Y, q; n' W7 g2 p! Q$ O
This always bothered me
8 C7 t+ M1 i( N3 O8 Sand I questioned the Lord
! ?1 o# G' m) `1 Yabout my dilemma.
3 d+ k: F+ }  X) Z"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,. P  J# f: C' G% f6 Y3 K
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
; Q9 z, G5 F0 B% {But I'm aware that during the most troublesome 5 I+ Y0 {( _# \% W
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
; E% f9 s5 B% [1 K& FI don't understand why, when I needed You most,
9 V% O" t6 `, r: m1 W2 s; ]you leave me."

I love you and will never leave you

It was then that I carried you."
