Footprints in the Sand5 Q, E! l! t2 j4 r6 E5 r

One night I had a dream
% S! Y* |2 l$ ^9 M+ {7 r" zI was walking along the beach with my Lord.3 B( G" B* d7 L% G9 r+ ^! P3 q
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
& I; m0 m" A7 @. p( i. IFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
# x) O& V) f( u. O' o3 u9 Jone belonging to me! e5 H: f2 L5 b5 h& b0 A
and the other to my Lord.2 r! _5 c& d3 o% u& V% a' h+ [8 G+ z/ |! z
When the last scene of my life shot before me0 u" u+ {7 ?- B1 g6 I6 u& G
I looked back at the footprints in the sand., F" P# h/ {" A! g! V- i2 G& y
There was only on set of footprints.
# t2 B9 i8 d/ N/ t, x* S% QI realized that this was at the lowest
! A0 x/ s& {' b- x/ land saddest times in my life.
: E# a, M0 A& _; N( e2 sThis always bothered me
1 }( ~1 D! {% V2 C+ ^and I questioned the Lord' [# o0 S2 t6 n. H
about my dilemma.
6 j7 P* v' [2 Z  u; P"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,, v7 b, t  v5 i) |" T$ d; w- K# @
You would walk and talk with me all the way.
8 q) M4 o1 F' a  PBut I'm aware that during the most troublesome , Q" T/ g4 [, F% S% T6 m; a3 U
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.  t, o! Q( k$ D% d( `
I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
" r! g2 w! [- J; H; ^& Lyou leave me.", k  }& Y7 T( n1 Z
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,& y+ m! b5 b7 C( w. E8 C
I love you and will never leave you
2 O( g/ }% x0 S5 \never, ever during your times of trial and testings.
