Footprints in the Sand1 a; u' A$ U$ g

One night I had a dream5 w( A. {( C" I$ S
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
" }2 V) D" Y8 y; y" y3 p" g& {Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.3 C- u' i3 b9 n0 X5 {
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,7 N2 P3 _, O9 a
one belonging to me
, W# @, K- V7 n5 W7 r* D$ cand the other to my Lord.1 P  e4 n% M: F; H
When the last scene of my life shot before me" w5 W+ g4 f+ ]7 g; G1 P) a5 e
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
- u: _- L, X0 R6 H6 }There was only on set of footprints.
* D- N7 J# C, C* }3 a- wI realized that this was at the lowest
0 X" a; m. ?- P& N- Dand saddest times in my life.
4 L7 _% N# f4 K( XThis always bothered me
* m0 T+ t: G' P2 }; O# E3 @and I questioned the Lord% Y$ I* o* X- ]4 Y# G
about my dilemma.! o# H9 l# ~) g- h
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
6 }4 s: u2 t- [* ?You would walk and talk with me all the way.
" S: x( U/ v; a* Z2 @But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
' @/ M1 G9 [8 W9 o; h9 k+ Qtimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.
; C/ F+ _" O: c& l$ ~I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
& M: P5 \# m* {' ryou leave me."
- ]) w7 u0 z. h6 N3 CHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,) x4 o3 S* j$ T9 X
I love you and will never leave you

When you saw only one set of footprints
