* t. X! v+ Q4 s" XI was walking along the beach with my Lord.: @( T& J3 ~5 y3 z% |" e5 C
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.1 O, ~8 y: x6 T! U+ N
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,- T! j0 q4 I1 u) X+ E6 R
one belonging to me6 T, [$ }" u  T+ \0 H  S- E, `6 f
and the other to my Lord.2 A6 r. ~" L( W' n$ v& F
When the last scene of my life shot before me4 T  i8 [# Q2 I7 i! D
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.% p) y5 ~' j+ \* Q5 |
There was only on set of footprints.
' S7 o) k* p6 U! j0 JI realized that this was at the lowest
$ q9 L8 D$ |. L9 ~# g( @and saddest times in my life.
9 H( I  Z, `5 L: X9 yThis always bothered me , u1 P/ O9 T1 h! w, B- B
and I questioned the Lord+ U& @* N% o6 a" T
about my dilemma.
" M/ q! u$ h/ @2 U% O! M; @' B"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,& @/ l5 ~" p! ?" G* w' Q; `
You would walk and talk with me all the way.6 p. r* E6 z) ?+ ~* l
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome 1 C2 i- K- ]1 D8 [
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.9 y3 Y. z: E& |  \
I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
5 V# i3 |' h4 m4 O, Pyou leave me."
4 z: s, T# Q! BHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
. w! T1 V8 N/ J- R- r) E( q+ II love you and will never leave you  P+ ]: i! c# y+ n  W

When you saw only one set of footprints
