I was walking along the beach with my Lord.9 J1 m! E! {: u
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
  y1 B* ]* \9 V! LFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,$ L* i5 Q" I4 l' G
one belonging to me: J9 U0 {* |) W4 F
and the other to my Lord.% p7 I* u+ W% [! k0 B& X: x
When the last scene of my life shot before me' H0 i( m% L0 \
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.. r# X9 Z, F$ Y% w/ k( b3 b
There was only on set of footprints.
# E7 {+ E# P' r* r. _7 t; KI realized that this was at the lowest
1 x1 S  h* u1 ~' }* @3 H! k3 m1 mand saddest times in my life./ T1 q# v' G  `6 K; |
This always bothered me . C- U6 v/ C$ F4 w/ {" g
and I questioned the Lord
, L& ~! U" \# Q' m" ?; O* c# Cabout my dilemma.1 H: j0 R) N. u) b$ {6 h, ^
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
, j2 a7 T$ k$ DYou would walk and talk with me all the way.: I, T! `* U5 Z5 [: [, M
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome 2 K( W& [: J8 S; \
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.2 s" r& |  w/ f$ Q: {/ V8 r9 D
I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
  l( P" P1 g6 J& O2 X/ e& [( Dyou leave me."0 x; i: M. Z# |3 Z
