Footprints in the Sand

One night I had a dream
& N/ [9 V. n9 hI was walking along the beach with my Lord.% t7 ]$ W) k" I9 @
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.5 f+ A, e9 ]' B) x9 b* M
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand," `! ?" t1 f. ^; }2 G0 T* Z, ^
one belonging to me
1 P( U( E. O8 H. n  E1 M- R4 H0 Yand the other to my Lord.
* }$ ]$ g2 g. x. ^9 D5 y( l7 ^When the last scene of my life shot before me
: Z8 b; \  {$ D' ~! ]" i" s1 aI looked back at the footprints in the sand.
9 p+ t2 {( u; f& G3 CThere was only on set of footprints.
/ N  f2 k- k% B& S9 eI realized that this was at the lowest
! C  r, z+ i$ d) V; k- Pand saddest times in my life.
0 J& f7 Y9 `0 G! t" v( O0 ^2 j/ OThis always bothered me 1 f: c& u8 [/ G0 J7 q% K
and I questioned the Lord- H: U& z( z+ N- e, K, Z& n3 W2 I
about my dilemma.
% L. M: F! `1 i; z4 e& ]+ P"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,7 v, J2 Y$ z! X' [+ @* @1 V" k
You would walk and talk with me all the way." I2 `. k# T% M# i2 P& Z) B
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome ; P- U* q: x& z( v$ ~! P% h
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
1 [& N+ A7 ?$ J7 j5 bI don't understand why, when I needed You most, ! j% f0 O6 Z% U. g, z; o
you leave me."
+ Y" }# I9 i, E6 j) s# w4 w# EHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,+ h7 L1 {, }4 g; v
I love you and will never leave you
