One night I had a dream
2 e6 R. r, w* N+ ^; B0 dI was walking along the beach with my Lord./ i3 ]4 }6 v, i6 w. M
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.0 r% S- D) T$ @. ?
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
# e1 z) x3 P9 B; Vone belonging to me
+ {" X. N1 G) t9 q+ P7 Eand the other to my Lord.
& p- f3 a. J( o! L& O' r. R# TWhen the last scene of my life shot before me; Z/ `' T( c3 r4 C- B, ?7 n
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
; O- q  {8 M4 R* o" d8 vThere was only on set of footprints.
4 y9 D& @8 b4 Y4 V2 @4 p9 X* LI realized that this was at the lowest
1 q/ K: g) Y4 c* @4 g5 i# k( a; k: P) _and saddest times in my life." O& c7 F' Y% ^. p
This always bothered me 1 E; E$ j, O5 b! G! y
and I questioned the Lord/ w9 x' _& [4 c$ _9 W
about my dilemma.
( C  X) p4 I) g" S: B3 l"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
  R& E8 J7 X( i( c9 ^You would walk and talk with me all the way.7 M- s7 {* s+ E& S. b
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome $ M/ M- i0 @- b% ?3 d. D7 r8 f
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
  y/ X) P# _8 Z: N% f; KI don't understand why, when I needed You most,
" l' u( l& r5 |3 t! oyou leave me."
5 z+ r$ r- `7 {+ z% |- q5 MHe whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
5 y3 }% e) W% P; M/ y- A6 `0 E' RI love you and will never leave you  |7 m/ g1 F$ @6 R+ m$ _( ~" `, C6 e2 o; N
never, ever during your times of trial and testings.
7 _$ W$ o! R" l8 u: N7 @  T- {When you saw only one set of footprints
