Lord, ; c2 H9 C& M. `) {3 `' a
having transformed
' Z2 ^ R. e; H# Isunshine and soil and water and seed,6 A8 @6 |3 ^/ q7 _
into food upon which we are soon to feed,
& Q8 c/ ^8 {; S8 ywe thank you for life and we want to stay well, 3 c% f( ~5 s6 v7 s4 Q, z5 d- L1 k) H" i
so we promise to rub our hands with Purell. I: Z" H( H+ U# F
We who came first and are ready to dine
2 F7 w+ f+ e! _5 Q! }) r; cthank you that we’re not still waiting in line,
1 A8 p4 ]2 L& O Sbut for those who are hungry and eagerly wait,
6 N: V. ~" @* hwe shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.
! j# {" z' U. m- |2 SInstead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others $ h# j. F5 N1 M, T3 \
the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.; R+ R ]0 k& g* e: N/ o, d

We smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted 7 s1 y5 f& |9 u* P% S" N' ?
the aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted 1 C$ k7 O# E- K% K$ R9 o
