Lord,
c9 u5 e, I T6 J/ G, ghaving transformed
8 U9 j; l5 {2 A- Ssunshine and soil and water and seed,/ y& P! Z" v; i
into food upon which we are soon to feed,
. j% K: x" R! W1 gwe thank you for life and we want to stay well, ; s$ O2 u$ }! x; q1 Y5 m& b5 t [
so we promise to rub our hands with Purell.
9 U' f3 J9 z. d' s1 a' A) uWe who came first and are ready to dine' f/ S4 b. Y3 \1 o' C
thank you that we’re not still waiting in line, ! b l+ q2 E2 O- N* f9 M
but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait,
* t6 H, b3 u! swe shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.
. ?# }0 d5 s- W% K9 G) p7 t) XInstead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others
. T ?, v6 a, e( q; Pthe way we were taught by our own loving mothers.

We smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted
