having transformed
7 h# r" _ ^; x+ W- g5 {. osunshine and soil and water and seed,
( N2 T) r+ `( t( j; b yinto food upon which we are soon to feed,
: r: Z& {% J6 Rwe thank you for life and we want to stay well, 6 k8 [8 U+ Y- B2 N+ s
so we promise to rub our hands with Purell.
( P0 d3 u, }+ |, u( }" ?% ^+ c9 G) nWe who came first and are ready to dine
" B' ~% o3 [! K W" K. Q2 U jthank you that we’re not still waiting in line, ' b/ x/ X$ D, K" t) B! G
but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait,
- h7 _' o' [3 Wwe shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.
3 }0 N& o& d6 V: r+ mInstead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others
/ T% w' a, p$ [! n; k4 M' sthe way we were taught by our own loving mothers.

We smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted

We thank you for people so generous and kind
