Lord,
" }0 n" F" p+ Q; whaving transformed
( R% ` r% {; s1 p8 k$ asunshine and soil and water and seed,
4 K- U7 V T+ P: w( u) iinto food upon which we are soon to feed,
1 p8 n" R" g, |we thank you for life and we want to stay well, 6 W+ Q+ k0 o" y! _( M
so we promise to rub our hands with Purell.4 L' v |, C' d. J. p: r
We who came first and are ready to dine
& D4 B/ n8 F3 x* W0 L fthank you that we’re not still waiting in line,
& K9 _0 O: u5 H1 N9 W, M+ ~. Rbut for those who are hungry and eagerly wait,
+ T9 | z+ A6 V1 w4 kwe shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.& c6 t6 K3 Q4 \8 [
Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others ' b, S* Q% L& a* C2 l* Z# ?' ?" w
the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.- f6 [8 d3 j. q8 i8 @; b
