Lord, ; u7 W0 V5 [! g, b" q
having transformed
. M' S3 G& T' vsunshine and soil and water and seed,& Y* u& c4 T2 a6 i1 X% q# A' D
into food upon which we are soon to feed,
5 W# m& D2 Y% J {we thank you for life and we want to stay well, ! z3 R1 O! S) Y. l) J
so we promise to rub our hands with Purell.1 ^( K5 N2 n+ B) o( t
We who came first and are ready to dine
7 K3 x+ `; Y) i- dthank you that we’re not still waiting in line, 8 U4 H8 N# ?( R. z7 o" r( F) W
but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait, ( F* d5 p! H& S9 s7 B
we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate." n3 k# i1 F, K) J( U
Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others 7 j5 a- C+ L, c( \4 B8 F. b. e
the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.

- w2 p0 a+ y$ _: g5 L$ y+ MWe smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted
( B# q S% h$ Z1 D5 E% O( cthe aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted
