Lord, ; u1 [3 [' ^' N" r3 x* m
having transformed
1 u$ M4 \$ Z; C6 B! X" psunshine and soil and water and seed,- I8 i; f* \( V; R
into food upon which we are soon to feed, ( j/ U& V! r( { k6 X
we thank you for life and we want to stay well,
9 V8 E P E4 L' e4 j9 Gso we promise to rub our hands with Purell.
5 G% m# [1 \: A. cWe who came first and are ready to dine
" ~# _' ]; b" ?. }/ n+ wthank you that we’re not still waiting in line, 5 H* J8 b/ m- ]# s# Z7 L+ |
but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait, 3 Q4 [! C- Z3 a& |" t
we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.

the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.

We smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted / u) b9 s$ A9 K4 H; L
the aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted
