Lord,
+ u* c4 d3 I7 s6 u2 phaving transformed- a! ]6 H- d7 d8 [' B5 Q+ u
sunshine and soil and water and seed,5 l! A: E, O1 Y$ @5 y1 ~
into food upon which we are soon to feed, 0 @( A* v0 ~0 V) q1 v7 _7 _& K
we thank you for life and we want to stay well, + k: n6 W; a0 Q( } V( J6 \
so we promise to rub our hands with Purell./ }! b+ z/ D# I" Z6 m( H( g
We who came first and are ready to dine
8 J. G0 k* M( F1 M7 J8 u! Q- T! wthank you that we’re not still waiting in line, & M7 ~; }% T, _) r7 w: p) m0 r, \
but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait,
' q+ ?+ t7 D- |$ D" l1 z: ywe shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.
- ]6 d! i, [2 _! @% w3 yInstead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others

We smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted ' D, j: z5 ?$ H) y! `7 d
the aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted
