Lord,
6 \' y& r7 d2 ^# @0 Rhaving transformed9 s% ~, H2 K$ c! ]
sunshine and soil and water and seed,
; s6 C; G0 Y- t. vinto food upon which we are soon to feed, 2 ~ O2 R8 h) m6 ]
we thank you for life and we want to stay well, 1 E2 j. @( s* C/ s) Z' A1 _" t
so we promise to rub our hands with Purell.- l4 Y) ], }5 t) B- S3 ?) J; x4 m
We who came first and are ready to dine& K3 o) U* B: v$ B
thank you that we’re not still waiting in line,
e, e! ?. G$ vbut for those who are hungry and eagerly wait,
* x z: o( {6 k0 W4 z! i2 _we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.5 H) G6 C# v6 ?8 e& \
Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others
% W4 t' N" t. a, s/ B5 s7 ] a; k& Ethe way we were taught by our own loving mothers.
