Lord,
; ?. Y. M/ w) {$ `$ Ohaving transformed
% X7 E! { X9 \) U1 Y6 Rsunshine and soil and water and seed,
0 A2 a- o8 i5 I+ v. n1 U) Minto food upon which we are soon to feed, 3 d0 e( z+ X/ Q) ]
we thank you for life and we want to stay well, 9 s, H! t' A( D
so we promise to rub our hands with Purell.$ U0 z8 L% T) G4 v
We who came first and are ready to dine
( A' F9 U* V1 A% H- `+ h- jthank you that we’re not still waiting in line,
" V. E: Y/ r$ Y) ebut for those who are hungry and eagerly wait,
5 C8 E) `3 f, U5 l/ Bwe shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.
, l' R! t, c% `6 BInstead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others
% ~- D _& i/ p4 u7 [. Gthe way we were taught by our own loving mothers.5 O' q& H# d8 x7 N' O: @. ]6 W

We smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted
8 {* t, z2 v' b6 Q# ]1 Wthe aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted
2 {! u' }$ n( e0 Q9 iWe thank you for people so generous and kind
