Lord, ' g$ R& q3 S5 r9 d* ]; J7 ^
having transformed: }; e1 j7 j: P8 ~7 c
sunshine and soil and water and seed,
$ i. q9 I& J# `5 \: t* T* R1 ointo food upon which we are soon to feed, 3 S8 x2 r" g( x% g$ `
we thank you for life and we want to stay well,
% v: Q5 c+ T! k+ F- Iso we promise to rub our hands with Purell.% T& l7 ]3 u' j& ]
We who came first and are ready to dine
# m8 q7 H% ~, H' Dthank you that we’re not still waiting in line,
7 Y' `. m, J" Y' lbut for those who are hungry and eagerly wait, % N, ~; i9 K. h9 p; e" H6 b" }# k
we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate., h0 S! u% l9 E" z
Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others 2 d' n& Q+ n/ f: @; N
the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.

3 z3 ?( I% e! s3 }& QWe smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted
2 U1 F5 k6 U0 ^, ithe aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted
