One night I had a dream8 g, O& s6 s( |. U. _* `5 W
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
5 D* h- C: k: A* OAcross the sky flashed scenes from my life.3 m: j. p6 w: |! F. m7 u8 |
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
* L6 ^0 r: c. W4 i* p% hone belonging to me
3 g3 l( {0 ]6 z: Z. Hand the other to my Lord.5 k0 D) W* o( n, c
When the last scene of my life shot before me
6 j) a2 n8 Q7 s$ }I looked back at the footprints in the sand." @4 s! ?* H" N8 z7 H" O
There was only on set of footprints.* T6 r3 C* c! G
I realized that this was at the lowest
& r+ `/ k" p% p+ O7 pand saddest times in my life.% B/ m: r4 f( L8 ]/ V% a; `
This always bothered me
  Y( t1 s, [6 ~and I questioned the Lord5 N% c* v' K/ |% K: o
about my dilemma.
* g2 v5 T+ K' L, Q"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,
' u& \# Y) N  g5 X% u5 OYou would walk and talk with me all the way.
3 ?4 l$ c! B/ y# g5 \But I'm aware that during the most troublesome / L/ A8 a8 j: O# z4 U" Q( N/ e
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.
1 x- R  O; M! {0 m, `I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
- O4 ^; E- f! M1 T! C/ e4 u  |* Vyou leave me."6 x$ Y0 ?- F5 Z4 u6 P& w+ g% b7 ?% F. U
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,+ b. N* g% q0 w' E) g: x) q

When you saw only one set of footprints
