One night I had a dream9 U+ I+ s+ X( ^1 E
I was walking along the beach with my Lord./ z6 [0 t% x- D5 ]7 k
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
/ l4 q" X* E" E# jFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,: U- r2 U7 A* u4 ^" d; P
one belonging to me* z- v+ B6 T! l' R2 z. o
and the other to my Lord.
9 r8 t- L/ ]! U4 ^When the last scene of my life shot before me/ G* \# B8 m' N. J
I looked back at the footprints in the sand./ c2 P: m% Z! V, W7 A: J
There was only on set of footprints.  f& z) P% S% s% L
I realized that this was at the lowest
% ?% C/ j+ u( `  y1 g7 `! rand saddest times in my life.' Q- Z9 ~- _1 ?- x& h* v4 I' Z
This always bothered me 6 t6 \0 S. N& N
and I questioned the Lord
( I, X9 m) _+ U- k# k* yabout my dilemma.
( @8 D# ?* b. L: U8 Q( H"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,$ h% @, h9 d  U& e) L
You would walk and talk with me all the way.) n5 p2 |/ D) C: P4 |; n1 ]" X3 o
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome % Y0 l6 |; c0 B
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.3 q, T" z5 ~, I
I don't understand why, when I needed You most, 4 f; t0 C" Z6 N# r. a  n. T
you leave me."

I love you and will never leave you

When you saw only one set of footprints
