Lord,
1 L& q. I# z6 N9 R0 X. zhaving transformed
; I6 j4 A* E' I% A6 Bsunshine and soil and water and seed,
. p0 ]8 m4 d* Ainto food upon which we are soon to feed,
) G; a/ ~! x1 _: m# K6 j/ gwe thank you for life and we want to stay well,
" C* i& v. ^7 y0 L0 eso we promise to rub our hands with Purell.9 c0 q l, |! ?
We who came first and are ready to dine
' L7 s8 R$ H. u0 Ythank you that we’re not still waiting in line,
5 Q, P& l/ O4 xbut for those who are hungry and eagerly wait, . v: l% d! [( H
we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.+ p8 V% d# p& W1 Z; T1 M( n& A7 H
Instead we’ll be thoughtful of all the others 0 I, _$ x8 j9 c3 d, Y/ Y9 J
the way we were taught by our own loving mothers.

We smell the potatoes all spicy and roasted 7 G% I' J8 O- {' t+ Y
the aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted + N* t L3 h9 V: l+ T' j' |
We thank you for people so generous and kind% \' S" ^* ^& w
and thanks for all blessings in body and mind,4 [# A; K& h( J9 d9 T3 v
