Lord,
* G( L! ?9 P2 ?6 X: F1 R4 {having transformed
, b8 J/ v( ~& B2 ]sunshine and soil and water and seed,
3 H2 X* w& h! J6 q; Minto food upon which we are soon to feed,
, a4 a& n7 M; Mwe thank you for life and we want to stay well,
2 \4 F% l( I3 cso we promise to rub our hands with Purell.. j6 ~8 i0 g2 E) [/ |
We who came first and are ready to dine8 R2 g/ o; K& I' g2 |8 L; P$ W
thank you that we’re not still waiting in line, ! v, O. Y! n7 u n; u0 a F% @8 R
but for those who are hungry and eagerly wait,
) k0 r7 b' V4 X* @# Y: @we shall not be greedy and heap up our plate.

& V' u/ t8 |+ m3 }3 a' C& L! vthe way we were taught by our own loving mothers.- l. y, O: f2 V: v. n

the aroma of casseroles perfectly toasted
