BC Ferry:
Q: May I travel with my pet(s)?
A: Yes. Pets must remain on vehicle decks for the duration of a voyage. The only exceptions are guide dogs for people who are visually impaired, and certified assistance dogs for those with other disabilities.

Coho Ferry:
Are pets allowed on board?
Yes, the  midship lounge and solarium are both pet friendly. Dog Kennels are located in the Solarium on the outer deck.

Clipper Ferry:
Animals/Pets
Pets are charged a $20 handling fee each way.  Pet space is highly limited, so we strongly recommend that you book in advance.  They must be in a hard-sided airline approved kennel (kennels can be rented for an additional $10 each way) and have appropriate vaccination records for Customs.  At check-in, a Pet Acceptance waiver must be completed and signed by the passenger.  Be advised that larger kennels are placed on the outside deck subject to engine noise and the elements.

Smaller pets that fit in a 20”x11”x11” enclosed carrier (duffel bag/soft crate style with handles) can be booked as a pet and can travel in the passenger cabin.  We will not allow them to travel with a carrier that doesn’t sufficiently contain the pet, such as a purse or an open bag.  We will not transport animals as cargo.  They must have a person accompanying them.
Service Animals
Service animals are allowed on the vessel. "Service animal" means any guide dog or other animal individually trained to work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability, including, but not limited to, guiding individuals with impaired vision, alerting individuals with impaired hearing to intruders or sounds, alerting persons with seizure disorders to the onset of a seizure, providing minimal protection or rescue work, pulling a wheelchair, or fetching dropped items.

Washington State Ferry:
FAQs - Pet Policy
Pets must be on a leash or in a carrier at all times. Pets, except service animals, are not allowed in terminal buildings or above the car decks, unless they are in a pet carrier, with the exception of Colman Dock [Pier 52], Edmonds/Kingston, Bainbridge Island and Bremerton where passengers load and unload through the main passenger terminal. At all our other docks there is access to the vessels without entering the terminal building.

Once on the vessel pets cannot be in the cabin area unless they are in a pet carrier. On the Seattle/Bainbridge, Seattle/Bremerton and Edmonds/Kingston route there is a sun deck that can be reached through the outer stairwells where leashed pets are allowed.

For most other routes, leashed pets are restricted to the auto deck and you must remain with your pet during the crossing. Please check with the crew upon arrival for the vessels accessibility concerning pets.
