One night I had a dream; S0 _3 G3 H5 h; C! x* \3 ^
I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
) {% b# K; z, f7 `Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
; u$ u' D9 ~( r# ?' aFor each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
( u, c( {7 u! y! Q% ione belonging to me
+ t- ?2 S/ t3 H8 Band the other to my Lord.
: v. O, S9 M: Y4 {8 b; iWhen the last scene of my life shot before me
: z$ q  Y" }/ N# o/ _! Z# Z4 x  dI looked back at the footprints in the sand./ |, u5 u  W- h- J' H* O9 D) ~; o8 }4 m
There was only on set of footprints.
% j/ b. x1 V/ y9 vI realized that this was at the lowest
* s2 t) ^+ W0 E! s' Nand saddest times in my life.9 [( V- c3 f8 [3 K7 d; I
This always bothered me 0 O/ D$ l( |; L
and I questioned the Lord
4 C' {! ~2 X- dabout my dilemma.
5 h  @! E& ]% \# F1 n* p0 }"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,6 c, g* {7 I4 P0 ?1 y& u: a1 Q
You would walk and talk with me all the way.' |2 i# p  H$ w; h1 P
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome # l1 q6 }9 K3 _7 R( q3 a" m
times of my life there is only one set of footprints.3 Q, Y- `7 S& R# ^
I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
9 q& a2 u# E, P+ ^! ]: }$ i+ fyou leave me."  Z6 G% p) a' b9 B* `. z. C
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,! T5 w% j7 ~2 H) i$ n& e
I love you and will never leave you( H  z/ \1 X( v; U
never, ever during your times of trial and testings.3 j, Q  G7 [+ f2 a; B, E
When you saw only one set of footprints
