/ o& E" H4 [# \- Q. V3 HOne night I had a dream$ ~! q6 V  Z+ R% V, ~
I was walking along the beach with my Lord./ j$ K' J( y# t+ n" x
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.) D% d7 {% b. A. J( s. p
For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,- U7 o, F) M. ~6 f9 y
one belonging to me
: R" G( J1 S+ i! gand the other to my Lord.# x" U( K$ |& [! _/ v
When the last scene of my life shot before me' }: F  u" o9 y1 f% C$ M
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.7 i/ _( ?* G! I" b* \- Q
There was only on set of footprints.( `; n% }9 z9 s. Z' P
I realized that this was at the lowest $ P3 N% g* z" \, }! ?3 y
and saddest times in my life.
. K% V- G2 P5 z: J! E5 k" CThis always bothered me
4 E3 _6 {9 [2 Y; }1 b7 t- Mand I questioned the Lord
3 `5 A+ o" h5 K6 |: z* Jabout my dilemma.% j4 B7 c5 S% c; t- h
"Lord, you told me when I decided to follow You,8 l2 x8 |: _- v2 ]2 a
You would walk and talk with me all the way.6 l3 V1 e3 q+ R0 O! w% q
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome
$ J$ v8 k9 ]2 @# S) ^+ Xtimes of my life there is only one set of footprints.
# p: V" J  x9 Y/ `I don't understand why, when I needed You most,
. h, g7 \" \& C$ Myou leave me.", J2 U3 u: B2 ]' z
He whispered,  "My precious, precious child,
' h: ~  G7 E. o) ?+ @1 K4 {; _4 eI love you and will never leave you' T2 U# o, W, B+ a# U
never, ever during your times of trial and testings.8 K# s! D! g4 w& A; l- S
When you saw only one set of footprints
$ z9 x' T8 T+ a# C' ~, ^It was then that I carried you.", O2 X: _" a6 H+ k
