How to buy Dec air-tickets? Lao Zhang's tips
Today I called Lao Zhang (he has a AD on VictoriaBBS front page) about how to buy a "cheap" tickets in Dec 2009 from Vancouver to Beijing ?
Lao Zhang said, "Airlines know in middle of Dec is high season, so now airlines 'closed' lower fares seats which means clients cannot buy 'cheap' fare ticekts now. Airlines just open higher fare seats now, for example, Dec 19 leave Vancouver for Beijing, and Jan 5 come back to Vancouver, right now price is $2100. Many students or clients are afraid of that if we did not buy tickets earlier, then the price will be jumped to over $2300 or more. So, some clients buy tickets $2100 now. Some travel agencies also asked their clients to buy now, otherwise, the price is up and up.
Lao Zhang said again, "My personally suggestion is NOT to buy tickets now. We can wait until middle of Oct or later to see whether airlines will release their lower fare seats. There are two cases will be happened by airlines: One is in Oct if airlines still see many clients buy expensive tickets (over $2000), then airlines will NOT release lower fare seats. Another case is in Oct airlines cannot see many clients buy 'expensive tickets' , then airlines will release lower fare seats on later of Oct or early of Nov. "
Lao Zhang said, "Pls don;t wait until Dec to buy ticekts who fly in Dec 18 around, because it is too later." Lao zhang suggest to buy Dec tickets in Oct. or early of Nov.
